Sorenson Squeeze 10

La versión 10 del software para codificación de vídeo Sorenson Squeeze ha sido lanzada oficialmente por Sorenson Media.

Este sistema tiene una trayectoria de más de 10 años y contiene potentes herramientas para convertir y codificar archivos de audio y vídeo con calidad. Además de incluir plugins para Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro y Adobe Premiere Pro, es uno de los sistemas que más formatos de entrada y salida soporta, tanto si queremos utilizarlos en la web, reproductores de discos, dispositivos móviles, etc.

Lo nuevo

  • HEVC/x165: diseñado para duplicar la compresión de datos en comparación con AVC/H.264.
  • VP9: es el sucesor de VP8 y reduce el bit rate hasta un 50%.
  • Inserción de Closed Captions: pudiendo importar un archivo de vídeo y un .scc, el sistema los unirá en dos streams de emisión.
  • Codificación empaquetada Multi-Rate: para Apple HSL, Adobe Dynamic Streaming, Mircosoft Smooth Streaming, MPEG DASH y MP4. Lo hará cinco veces más rápido que si los codificamos por separado.
  • Encriptación HSL: esta nueva función de seguridad utiliza la raíz URL personalizada en los archivos para que sirva como índice y media a los archivos de diferentes localizaciones.
  • Presets 4K: se han añadido dos presets 4K que incluyen el H.264 y x265.

Version 10 of Sorenson Squeeze video encoding software has been officially released by Sorenson Media.

This system has a history of more than 10 years and contains powerful tools to convert and encode audio and video files with quality. In addition to including plugins for Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premiere Pro, it is one of the systems that supports the most input and output formats, whether we want to use them on the web, disc players, mobile devices, etc.

What’s New

  • HEVC/x165: designed to double the data compression compared to AVC/H.264.
  • VP9: is the successor to VP8 and reduces the bit rate by up to 50%.
  • Insertion of Closed Captions: by importing a video file and an .scc file, the system will merge them into two broadcast streams.
  • Multi-Rate packaged encoding: for Apple HSL, Adobe Dynamic Streaming, Mircosoft Smooth Streaming, MPEG DASH and MP4. It will do it five times faster than encoding them separately.
  • HSL encryption: this new security feature uses the custom URL root in the files to serve as an index and mediates files from different locations.
  • 4K presets: two 4K presets have been added, including H.264 and x265.
